Red Wings sign D Delmore to 1-year deal (AP)

The Detroit Red Wings have signed free-agent defenseman Andy Delmore to a one-year contract. The team announced the deal Tuesday but did not disclose terms. The 32-year-old native of LaSalle, Ontario, has spent the last two seasons playing for the Hamburg Freezers in Germany. He previously played with Philadelphia, Nashville, Buffalo and Columbus.
